Gamester Gear`s Cruiser P3210 dual driver headset are made with PC and Play Station 3 gamers in mind. The Gamester Gear Cruiser P3210 has two speakers in each ear cup, which provide very clean and clear, dynamic sound, allowing the lowest bass possible without distorting the mids and highs. The 112dB, provided by the 50mm main driver and the 30mm bass driver mean that there is as much volume as a loud concert. The detachable boom mic has built in microphone loopback meaning that users can hear themselves talking, even in the heat of a game. /"

Times are certainly changing in the PC industry and many companies are evolving in order to stay relevant. SteelSeries Siberia V2 Heat Orange USB Headset
     Thu, Aug 29 2013 | 6:14P | Audio / Sound | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
It`s not every day for us to be on the receiving end of 3 brand new game titles and 3 brand new movies in Blu-ray format and so because that`s exactly what happened roughly a week ago we decided to make proper use of those new resources to help test several gaming and audio peripherals we received recently. Now as most of you know (gamers should anyways) the Siberia V2 stereo gaming headset by SteelSeries was initially unveiled almost 4 years ago but thanks to various design and software/firmware upgrades introduced with later models (for example the Frost Blue one) this line is still around and has actually managed to remain very popular amongst casual and hardcore gamers alike. Well it seems that SteelSeries is really not ready to let go of the successful Siberia V2 line just yet and what better way to do that than to introduce a brand new model featuring a LED color never used before called Heat Orange?"

This is the latest version of their Kaossilator line that has been decreasing in size with each iteration. The Kaossilator 2 is a portable sound generator that uses a touchpad for sound creation. Thermaltake BAHAMUT External Sound Card Review
     Wed, Aug 28 2013 | 6:46P | Audio / Sound | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
You can`t really buy a decent sound card at this price range nor can you buy even a decent amp to make your headset play louder for this price. The price is actually the winner in this case, unlike so many others (usually price is the con). The stupid car engine noise when plugged in is a definite waste of components, but not much you can do about that at this point. This piece of hardware is by no means some ingenious work of art nor scientific breakthrough, but it will get your headset to play just that little bit louder where you need it. It also provides quick volume control at arm`s reach and with an intuitive volume knob at that. In the end, the BAHAMUT is no magical hardware piece to make your crap Logitech headset sound good, but it will play loud at the right price for your wallet."

a.m.p iSO Noise-Canceling Bluetooth Headphones
     Wed, Aug 28 2013 | 9:00A | Audio / Sound | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Whenever we hear the term Bluetooth wireless headsets the first thing that naturally comes to mind are the typical around the ear models we use with smartphones for hands free calls like the Voyager Legend by Plantronics or the MOTION by Jabra. However lately many people turn towards another less popular type which basically consists from two parts, a set of earphones and a Bluetooth receiver/transmitter. The overall size of the unit may not be as portable as the usual Bluetooth wireless headsets but it has three positives that we can`t simply ignore. So first of all it offers stereo sound which means that not only can you answer/make calls and listen to the other person from both ears but you can also listen to music a lot better than with a single monophonic headset. The other plus is that since the Bluetooth receiver/transmitter is placed on the far end you can place it far away from your head and although so far there are no indications that Bluetooth connectivity can affect us in any way still this makes people feel safer and i can understand the why. Finally since the earphones have very little weight it can be used by people while jogging or exercising without falling off (or at least not as much). Antec mobile products chose to go with this solution and so today we will be taking a look at their ISO Noise-Canceling Bluetooth Headphones."

NuForce NE-700M Earphones With Microphone
     Tue, Aug 27 2013 | 9:24A | Audio / Sound | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Although the trend of our times demands from pretty much every electronic device to be connected wirelessly to others i doubt we will see the end of wires any time soon since as we all know they do allow data (regardless of type) to be transferred better and faster. This is even more important to audiophiles since audio streaming using both Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi connections is indeed inferior to that of regular wired connections and thus i don`t think the day when they will choose to replace that is near. Needless to say the same applies for earphones but with the current number of available models in the market from low and up to enthusiast grade ones choosing the right one for you is not an easy task even if you know what you want. Naturally high and enthusiast level audio products always tend to cost many times more than low/mid-end ones but fortunately Nuforce with their latest NE-700M earset aims to change that for the best."
