ech G930 Wireless Headset @ LanOC Reviews
     Thu, Dec 26 2013 | 9:02A | Audio / Sound | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
I have gone through a whole collection of headsets in the past due to a cable going bad. This happens when you run over the wire with your chair when the wire is too long or when the cord is to short and you get hard tugs on it. Because of that I have been a big fan of wireless headsets, especially because latency is less of an issue with them. Well today I’m going to take a look at Logitech’s G930 wireless headset. I’m especially interested in how it compares to the Corsair Vengeance 2000, another popular wireless headset in the same price range. If the last two wireless mice from Logitech are indication, the G930 could be a good option. But let’s look closer before making any judgment.

Noontec Zoro HD Fashion Hi-Fi Headphones
     Tue, Dec 24 2013 | 4:01P | Audio / Sound | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
I recall a time when the most impressive portable audio device in my possession was a Philips Waterproof Discman that came bundled with a nice pair of earphones which to me they seemed to perform better than anything i had ever used in the past. Because of that and also because of the price tag that particular Discman had i never actually even thought about finding something better and i left it at that (i still have that Discman in very good condition). That however was roughly 15 years ago so today i always try to find the best headphones and earphones in the market not only because it`s what i do obviously but also because i really want to see how much technology can advance until having to change the entire concept behind the how such devices work. Noontec is a company we just learned of almost 2 months ago and since their headphones have won quite a few awards around the world we decided to take a few of them for a ride the first of which is the ZORO HD (High Definition) Fashion Hi-Fi Headphones. Article Link: http://www.nikktech.com/main/articles/audio/headphones/2691-noontec-zoro-hd-fashion-hi-fi-headphones Image Link: http://www.nikktech.com/main/images/pics/reviews/noontec/zoro_hd/noontec_zoro_hda.jpg A News Post Would Be Appreciated."

Apple iPad mini Retina Review

With the Retina display in the 2nd-gen iPad mini, Apple has increased the price on the base 16 GB Wi-Fi model from $329 to $399, making it one of the most expensive tablets of its size. However, past iPads have been of exceptional quality, so will this be the same for the iPad mini? Does the Retina display and faster processor make a worthy upgrade for first-gen owners?

SteamOS vs. Ubuntu 13.10 - Intel HD Graphics Performance
     Sat, Dec 21 2013 | 9:02A | Audio / Sound | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
"When Valve announced the public release of the beta for SteamOS 1.0 "Alchemist" on Friday they listed NVIDIA graphics as a hardware requirement, but I showed that AMD Radeon graphics with Catalyst would work and it's possible to get Intel graphics working (or the open-source graphics drivers in general) through a minor change to the Linux-based SteamOS kernel parameters. After that I ran some benchmarks and here are a few performance results comparing SteamOS 1.0 Beta to Ubuntu 13.10 with Intel HD Graphics."

Corsair Vengeance 1400 Gaming Headset Review @ Legit Reviews
     Fri, Dec 20 2013 | 10:02A | Audio / Sound | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Corsair has been busy the past year improving its peripheral lineup. We previously reviewed both Vengeance mechanical keyboards and noticed that the biggest changes to those products over their predecessors were implemented from community response. We were impressed at how well Corsair was able to adapt to all the feedback and improve already likable keyboards. However, those aren`t the only gaming peripherals Corsair has worked on. We`re about to take a look at all of Corsair?s new headsets for 2013 in a series of reviews starting with the Vengeance 1400."
