Thermaltake eSPORTS Level 10M Gaming Mouse Review @ Custom PC Review
     Thu, Jan 03 2013 | 9:00A | Games | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
That said then, today we’ll be reviewing the new Thermaltake eSPORTS Level 10M gaming mouse. Since the Level 10M is designed in part by one of the most well known high performance auto manufacturers in the world, it’s only natural that it’s got that high performance car look, but just as an amazing car, the Level 10M’s got some serious stuff under the hood, too. Come embedded in its aluminum belly is...."

Tessellation, global illumination, and ambient occlusion are all utilized using the new Glacier 2 game engine. We see how a variety of video cards perform in Hitman: Absolution, and what is needed to get the most out of the game.

Assassins Creed 3 @ LanOC Reviews
     Sat, Dec 29 2012 | 11:55A | Games | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Innovation is a tough thing in the gaming industry. Not just coming up with something new and exciting that will get fans of all ages to line up to play, but once you have those fans you must innovate to keep them. This is something that the Assassins Creed franchise has had great success with. With the original release of Assassins Creed, it was something that gamers had never seen before and it was awesome. The gameplay got a bit repetitive and bland at times, but Ubisoft quickly improved on it with the next installment in the series giving gamers more things to do and a more in depth storyline. After that followed multiplayer and countless hours of online fun. I am extremely excited for this review of Assassins Creed 3 because it is set around the American Revolution, a time that has not been looked at before in the franchise and an interesting piece of history in my eyes. Sit back and grab your muskets because The British and coming, the British are coming!"

HE Mouse review: He-Man ergonomics?
     Sat, Dec 29 2012 | 9:03A | Games | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The HE Mouse definitely demands that you hold your hand in a different position than with a normal mouse. Those familiar with the RSI symptoms will notice this right away and probably benefit from it. Unfortunately that doesn't mean we can recommend this mouse without reservations, because it is simply not accurate enough.

GPU benchmarks - Dirt: Showdown
     Sat, Dec 29 2012 | 9:01A | Games | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Dirt: Showdown runs great on three monitors, and AMD even gave it the EyeFinity Optimized stamp of approval. We have to admit that playing a racing game like this on three monitors definitely adds to the immersion. You also don't need a high-end graphics card to run this game on 5760x1080 and Medium settings. Both the Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 and the AMD Radeon HD 7870 are fast enough to achieve 60 fps. Even the Radeon HD 7850 gets close.

Far Cry 3 is here, and we take a full look at performance and image quality comparing several video cards. We will find out what it takes to run this beast of a game with each video card, how those compare, and look at performance with certain graphics features, and we compare image quality with those features on and off.

Digital Obsession: The Most Addictive PC Games Ever
     Fri, Dec 28 2012 | 10:35P | Games | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Gaming is something we've done quite a bit of over the years, but sitting down to pick a list of the most addictive games ever proved surprisingly tricky. Addictive games aren't necessarily the top sellers, or record-smashing behemoths. Sometimes, their appeal is measured in near-perfect execution of a narrow concept, while other games keep us up 'til 3 AM because, despite their flaws, they offer a compelling, challenging experience...

F1 Race Stars Review @ Techgage

With its F1 and DiRT games, Codemasters has established itself as being one of the better developers out there where racing titles are concerned. But while those games feature realistic environments, vehicles and driving mechanics, F1 Race Stars throws all that out the window to offer a colorful and very interesting kart racer. Lets check it out."

"Today we’ll be reviewing Plantonics’ newest product to their GameCom series of gaming headsets – the Plantronics GameCom Commander. Last time, we reviewed the Plantronics GameCom 780 and we were overall very impressed with what it had to offer for the price. Say hello then to the GameCom Commander, Plantronics’ recently introduced, top-of-the-line (aka most bad-ass) gaming headset..."

GPU benchmarks: Max Payne 3
     Fri, Dec 14 2012 | 4:02P | Games | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Max Payne 3 is well-suited for three monitors. To be able to run the game on three Full HD monitors you will need a high-end graphics card with at least 2 GB of video memory. Out of the single-GPU cards only the Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 and AMD Radeon HD 7970 were able to reach 60 fps or more on Normal settings. The GTX 670 and Radeon HD 7950 fall just short of 60 fps. Since 40 fps is enough to enjoy this game, you're fine with a GeForce GTX 660 or a Radeon HD 7870.

Hitman: Absolution (PC) Review @ Techgage
     Wed, Dec 12 2012 | 12:18A | Games | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Much has changed with the Hitman series since it took a hiatus six years ago, both in and out of game. Hitman: Absolution has been released through a new publisher, and has been developed with a new direction in the story. Do these changes bring us closer to hitting the mark of excellence, or should the series have stayed in purgatory?"
