[Tech ARP] Camera Lens Buying Guide Rev. 4.1
     Wed, Sep 12 2012 | 4:04P | Digital Cameras | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
With *digital SLR cameras* so affordable now, it`s inevitable for techies and budding photographers alike to snap them up like hot cakes. But while the cameras are cheap, the lenses are not. But fret not, because you can actually buy *used lenses* instead. Used lenses are a real bargain but there are some things you should be aware before you buy them. And that`s what this guide is all about. *In this update, we added many new photos and improved the guide`s layout.*"

Sony Alpha 57 (SLT-A57) Review @ TechReviewSource.com
     Sun, Sep 09 2012 | 10:39A | Digital Cameras | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The Sony Alpha 57 is one of four APS-C D-SLR cameras in Sony`s current lineup. It`s one step up from the entry-level Alpha 37, and like its siblings sports a fixed mirror design and an electronic viewfinder, a departure from classic SLR cameras that use a moving mirror and optical viewfinder for through-the-lens viewing."

Samsung WB850F Digital Camera
     Wed, Sep 05 2012 | 11:58A | Digital Cameras | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The solution to the problem of wanting more advanced camera features without the large size of an SLR or CSC camera is where Samsung`s latest WB850F fits right in. The WB850F is an extended 21x zoom camera that isn`t much larger than a high end point-and-shoot but it offers advanced functionality such as full manual and program modes, WiFi and GPS, a pop-up flash and control over your pictures usually only associated with an SLR or CSC camera. Did I mention the WB850F will still fit comfortably in your pocket for easy travel?"

Sony KDL-55HX750 Review @ TechReviewSource.com
     Thu, Aug 30 2012 | 11:58A | Digital Cameras | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The Sony KDL-55HX750 It isn`t nearly as sleek looking as its more expensive sibling, it uses more power, and its black levels and 3D performance fall short. On the plus side, this 55-inch LED-backlit model comes at a much lower price, and still delivers a crisp 2D picture with accurate colors."

Canon PowerShot A2400 IS Review @ TechReviewSource.com
     Thu, Aug 30 2012 | 9:34A | Digital Cameras | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The Canon PowerShot A2400 IS is a fairly simple camera that`s well suited for the casual photographer as it offers above average image quality. For those willing to explore their artistic side, the camera has many effects and filters. The design of the camera itself could be better and battery life is short, but in all it`s a decent point-and-shoot."

Fujifilm FinePix Z900EXR 16MP Digital Camera w/3.5 Touchscreen Review @ TestFreaks
     Wed, Aug 22 2012 | 9:18A | Digital Cameras | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Today for review I have the Fujifilm FinePix 16MP Camera and it was provided by our friends at Geeks.com. The camera is specifically the Z900EXR model which features a 3.5 touchscreen on the back instead of your normal LCD youd find there. It seems everything is going touch these days so why not cameras. I have to start this is off with the fact that Im just very much impressed with this camera. Ive owned many cameras, small and larger and I have to say that this is a great all around around camera that takes some excellent photos. So read on to learn more "

RaidSonic ICY BOX IB-CAM2002 1.3MP Outdoor IP Camera Review
     Wed, Aug 15 2012 | 10:38A | Digital Cameras | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Last week i was lucky enough to attend a party thrown by one of the worlds largest companies (unrelated with PC hardware) during which i was somewhat taken off guard when some people (including a couple of friends) walked up to me and asked my opinion on whether or not using IP cameras is the way to go if they wanted to safeguard their homes/properties. My reply to them was what Ive been telling everyone for the past 5 years and that`s that IP cameras can certainly add an extra layer of security and they can come in very handy (sometimes they can even act as a measure of prevention) but should never be used on their own. Anyways last time we checked the Airlive OD-2025HD 2MP Outdoor IP Camera but since FullHD (1080p) models do not come very cheap today we will be taking a look an HD (1.3MP/720p) Outdoor IP Camera, the RaidSonic ICY BOX IB-CAM2002."

Genius G-Shot HD575T Digital Camcorder Review @ TechwareLabs
     Tue, Aug 14 2012 | 8:41A | Digital Cameras | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
In this technology rich world we live in, there is no shortage of ways to capture those spontaneous or special moments in your life. The reality is that many of us carry devices (smartphones, tablets, etc) capable of capturing still pictures and motion video at some level. Where these devices excel in being extremely portable, the quality, feature, and functionality of capturing these moments in your life is generally limited due to their inherent small form factor. So, the video camera market is still very much alive and kicking!"

Sony BDP-S590 Review @ TechReviewSource.com
     Thu, Aug 09 2012 | 4:09P | Digital Cameras | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The Sony BDP-S590 is a good Blu-ray player, with built-in Wi-Fi, 3D support, and fast performance. It has a few minor video processing issues, and its on-player controls feel flimsy, keeping it from the top-tier. At $129.99, however, it`s a solid choice."

Airlive OD-2025HD 2MP Outdoor IP Camera Review
     Mon, Jul 16 2012 | 4:00P | Digital Cameras | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Largely thanks to the global crisis of the economy crime rate is on the rise around the globe and so it comes as little surprise that most people i know are either building complete security systems worth thousands of euros or just settle for a basic surveillance system. Of course there are always those who can afford to have a private security cruiser from a serious security firm check on their house several times a day but that`s simply not possible for most people. Personally Ive always chosen to build my own alarm/security systems using both motion/alarm sensors and IP Cameras, something which is possible for everyone without having to spend many of your monthly paychecks to do so. Today we are going to see such a device and more specifically the OD-2025HD 2 Megapixel Outdoor 30fps 25 meter IR IP Camera by Airlive."
