ROCCAT Kone Pure Optical Review @ Vortez
     Sat, Nov 23 2013 | 4:14A | Optical Drives | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
With that in mind, we come to the Kone Pure Optical. It`s a subtly different beast to the Kone Pure, which integrates the 8200dpi Pro-Aim Laser Sensor R3 for scanning the mousing surface. In order to satisfy those with slightly different preferences the Pure Optical utilises a 4000dpi Pro-Optical Sensor R3; in most other aspects the Pure Optical is identical, only changing up the aesthetics slightly and removing a tracking control unit no longer relevant without a laser sensor."

LG Optimus G Pro from AT&T Review
     Tue, Jun 25 2013 | 9:02A | Optical Drives | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Upon first glance of the LG Optimus G Pro, it's easy to draw comparisons to Samsung's Galaxy Note II. The two phones are strikingly similar. Both feature massive 5.5-inch displays along with rounded edges and a physical Home button below the screen. When placed side-by-side, the two phones appear to be nearly identical in size. However, upon closer examination you'll notice the Galaxy Note II is slightly taller and wider than the Optimus G Pro. Technical specifications reveal the Galaxy Note II weighs slightly more than the Optimus G Pro as well, but the difference is so small you'll hardly notice...

LG Optimus L9 review: fair and balanced
     Tue, Jan 08 2013 | 9:01A | Optical Drives | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The LG Optimus L9 is a superbly balanced smartphone. Unlike the lower-positioned L7, the various components complement each other very nicely. You shouldn't expect any miracles of course, but the hardware definitely meets the requirements for what the phone needs. Extra features such as NFC and the dual-band wireless chip add some nice extra options.

Plextor PlexEasy PX-650US Versatile DVD/CD Burner
     Mon, Dec 10 2012 | 4:00P | Optical Drives | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Shooting short video clips and taking pictures is something many people do on a daily basis (mainly with their smartphones) so with Christmas just around the corner it's a safe bet that the largest percentage of the global population will spend quite a bit of time doing the same but in a much larger scale. So since we will probably be doing the exact same thing we did our best to find a device that would make our lives easier when sharing our Christmas media collection with both family and friends. Well to our surprise in the end it didn't take that long to find such a device and to be more accurate it was actually delivered to us out of the blue (luck was on our side). So just as the title clearly states we spend the better part of last week testing the latest PlexEasy PX-650US Versatile DVD/CD Burner by Plextor.

LG Optimus 4X HD Review
     Wed, Sep 12 2012 | 4:05P | Optical Drives | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
LG first unveiled the Optimus 4X HD back at Mobile World Congress in February. It's been a long time coming, but the Optimus 4X HD is now available in much of the world - even if it's only available outside of a plan (unlocked) here in the U.S. The Optimus 4X HD is the first quad-core LG smartphone, and it boasts a very high end spec sheet. The LG Optimus 4X HD is a big phone, like most of the other flagship smartphones to hit the market this year. Due largely to its very nice 4.7-inch, IPS touchscreen display, which offers 720p HD resolution, LG's Optimus 4X HD measures 133.0 x 68.2mm x 9.5mm, which makes it slightly shorter and narrower than HTC's One X, but also half a hair thicker. At 133g in weight, the phone doesn't feel like a total brick in your purse or pocket.

RAIDON Hybrid Runner iH2420-2S-S2 Review
     Sat, Aug 18 2012 | 9:04A | Optical Drives | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Although casual users, gamers and enthusiasts have always been our primary focus group Ive also done my best to secure and test several devices targeted towards professionals and enterprise users in general during the past years. We all know that in many occasions professionals and enthusiasts are after the same high end performance parts but professionals and enterprise users alike also seek extra protection for their sensitive data and that`s mainly as to why they belong in an entirely different focus group. Now two days ago we tested a dual bay 3.5 USB 3.0 RAID 0/1 enclosure by Akitio but what about people who want fast performance and reliability in a far smaller package? Well RAIDON may just have the answer with their latest Hybrid Runner iH2420-2S-S2 2.5 SSD/HDD combo device."
