Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1200W - BCCHardware
     Thu, Mar 15 2012 | 4:04P | Power Supply | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1200W PSU arrived a while back without announcement and it was a surprise to get such a large PSU to review. Even though it`s a massive 1200W unit, what impressed me first of all was the standard ATX size that allows this unit to fit into almost any PC case. . ."

Seasonic SS-350M1U Modular 80Plus Gold Power Supply Review
     Wed, Mar 14 2012 | 9:00A | Power Supply | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The Seasonic SS-350M1U power supply made a very good showing. The PSU delivered good voltage regulation with very good efficiency and relatively clean outputs. And it comes with a good compliment of modular cables/connectors. If you are in the market for a rack mount, server style power supply with 350W output capacity, this would be a good one to consider."

Kingwin Lazer Platinum LZP-1000 1000-
     Tue, Mar 13 2012 | 12:01P | Power Supply | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
"Kingwin makes sure you're taken care of with plenty of features in the LZP-1000. All your protections are present. The LZP-1000 has both native and modular cabling, all of which is fully sleeved. The LZP-1000 is also capable of delivering 100% continuous output at 50C. Kingwin has an MSRP of $229 on the LZP-1000 1000W unit. We were able to find it cheapest at Newegg for $193.98 at the time of writing this article after shipping and a $20 MIR. That makes it at least $50 cheaper than any other 1000W Platinum unit on the market today. Kingwin backs the LZP-1000 with their customary five year warranty."

Silverstone ST1200-G Strider Gold Evolution Power Supply Review
     Tue, Mar 13 2012 | 9:02A | Power Supply | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
As overclockers we often look at the highest capacity PSUs for our systems, not because we need them but because we want to make sure everything we run has adequate power. 80+ Gold edition PSUs deliver on those desires and do so with less heat, better overall efficiency and in some cases, peak loading conditions above the rated power specs.

SilverStone Strider Gold Evolution 850-watt (ST85F-G) PSU Review
     Fri, Mar 09 2012 | 12:20P | Power Supply | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The ST85F-G Evolution shares the same feature summary as the rest of the Evolution series. It has full of protection features including over temperature protection, but the unit is not rated for 100% continuous output at 50C. It is instead rated for 100% continuous output at 40C. The power supply is fully modular and fully sleeved. The full modular design also allows for the use of SilverStone`s PP05 short cable kit. Antares Pro comes in with the cheapest price of $168.99. Alternatively you can find the unit for $169.99 at Directron. Hardcore Newegg fans will find the unit a tad more expensive, costing $195.82 after shipping. At about $170, the ST85F-G Evolution is one of the cheapest 80Plus Gold rated 850W models available. SilverStone backs the unit by a three year warranty."

Antec VP350 Power Supply Review @ Hardware Secrets
     Thu, Mar 08 2012 | 4:25P | Power Supply | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The Basiq power supply series from Antec is targeted to users with serious budget restrictions. The new VP350 and VP450 models are the most entry-level power supplies offered by Antec, as they don`t have a PFC circuit or 80 Plus certification. We`ve already reviewed the VP450, which achieved terrific performance for its class. Now it is time for us to test the 350 W model."

Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 1000W PSU review
     Thu, Mar 08 2012 | 9:29A | Power Supply | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The Silent Pro M2 line of power supplies come with modular cabling, a 135mm hydraulic dynamic bearing fan, copper-aluminium heatsink, single +12V rail and dual-layer EMI filter. Today we focus on the kilowatt model priced 169.90 EUR. A very nice power supply rates 80+ silver, that comes with a modular design and one big massive whopping 12V rail, which we all like so very much. In fact that translates to 80A / 12V on our 1000W model. Part of the new spec is RoHS and ERP 2010 Certification for a more eco-friendly design and power efficiency. The 135mm fan has been improved by making use of a durable Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing. Read the review right here"
