3DMark05
is the latest version of the highly favoured 3DMark graphics benchmarking
series. It is the first benchmark to require DirectX9.0 compliant hardware with
support for Pixel Shader 2.0 or higher!

nVIDIA's
new SLI AA puts an enormous amount of strain on the two videocards and here we
see that 8x SLI AA runs at about half the speed of regular 8xS AA.

Unreal
Tournament 2003 is the sequel to 1999's multiple ' Game of the Year' award
winner. It uses the very latest Unreal Engine technology - where graphics, sound
and game play are taken beyond the bleeding edge. Unreal Tournament 2003 employs
the use of Vertex as well as Pixel Shaders and it's recommended that you use a
DirectX 8 videocard to get the most out of the game.

UT2003 is
usually pretty easy going on videocards these days but when SLI AA (8x or 16x)
is enabled, framerates drop to about a quarter of regular 8xS AA.
Doom 3 is
the most advanced OpenGL game to date. It takes advantage of the latest
videocard technology and pushes the processing power of the CPU to its absolute
limits. At its highest setting, Ultra quality, texture sizes pass the 500MB mark
which means even tomorrow's videocards will have a hard time running everything.
The frame rates in the game itself are locked at 60 fps so anything above that point is
wasted. Each test is run three times and with the third run being
recorded.

Doom 3 is very videocard heavy and with 8x SLI AA, the
game is playable but when 16x SLI AA is turned on, it's a bit too much for even
two GeForce 7800 GTX videocards running SLI! Hopefully as drivers improve,
nVIDIA will be able to extract more performance out of the videocards.
