PCMark05 is a premium tool for measuring both normal home use and simple 3D performance of the latest PC hardware. There are 11 system tests - each one is designed to represent a certain type of PC usage. By running these tests, PCMark05 stresses the components in a similar manner as they are stressed in normal home usage.

The budget Biostar TForce 6100 AM2 is able to keep up with much higher end motherboards, goes to show you that you do not have to spend a load of money on a socket AM2 Athlon64 motherboard to get good performance - just spend a lot on the actual CPU!

The onboard nVidia GeForce 6100 videocard does not do very well in 3DMark05. Slap in a GeForce 7800GTX PCI Express x16 videocard and the Biostar TForce 6100 AM2 is as fast as any nForce 590 SLI motherboard. The Tforce 6100 AM2 compares well to the Asus M2N32SLI Deluxe and Foxconn C51XEM2AA when equipped with a comparable graphics card.
