MSI NX6600GT-TD128E

The MSI NX6600GT-TD128E is a 6600GT-based PCI Express card equipped with 128MB of memory. It's the second of the two MSI models that we look at in this roundup, and lacks some of the features of its AGP sibling, most notably the VIVO capabilities. It is clocked at the stock 500MHz core/1000MHz memory of most 6600GTs though, unlike the AGP card, and it's fully SLI capable.

MSI NX6600GT-TD128E - PCI Express x16
Includes:

Users Manual, Quick Installation Guide, Driver CD, MSI 3D Software, WinDVD, WinDVD Creator, Restore It!/Virtual Drive CD, Software Super Pack CD, 14 in 1 CD, URU CD, Price of Persia CD's, XIII CD's, DVI to analog converter, S-Video to S-Video cable, video-out cable

The small Aluminium heatsink/fan combo was nicely quiet during testing, and it covers the memory as well as the GPU. The front of the card sports the now familiar VGA, DVI and S-video/breakout connectors. The MIO port for SLI is present at the top of the card.

MSI's bundle for this card is impressive, at least in volume; 15 CDs are packed into the box! Full versions of Prince of Persia, 13 and Uru: Ages beyond Myst make up the gaming bundle, while applications like WinDVD, WinDVD creator and RestoreIT round out the applications. Also included are an S-video cable, and a breakout box featuring component, composite and S-video outs. A DVI-to-analog converter is also present for dual monitor enthusiasts.

Overclocking: The MSI NX6600GT-TD128E proved to be one of the better overclockers in this roundup, posting maximum speeds of 563MHz core and and impressive 1.13GHz memory clock.

Now that we have see the contenders, it's time to move right into the benchmarks, so let's begin!
