Benchmarks: Office Productivity, SiSoft Sandra, Super Pi

Office Productivity Source: Zdnet

Business Winstone 2004 runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete these activities to produce its performance scores.

Content Creation Winstone 2004 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation applications in Windows XP.

DFI LANParty NF4 SLI-DR (NF4-SLI 200/400) 39.7
ECS RS480-M (RS480 200/400) 37.5

The Office Productivity numbers from the ECS RS480-M are slightly lower than that of the nForce4 powered motherboards. The ECS platform is in line with what we saw from an earlier ATi RS480-based motherboard.

SiSoft Sandra 2005 Source: Sandra

Sandra is designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system as well as the individual components. The results are also purely theoretical and may not represent real world performance.

The processor and bandwidth results offer nothing surprising. Looks like ATi tweaked the silicon a bit, the bandwidth numbers are about 100MB/s faster than the results for the MSI RS480M2-IL motherboard.

Super Pi Source: SuperPI

SuperPI calculates the number PI to 1 Million digits in this raw number crunching benchmark. The program allows the user to change the number of digits of PI that can be calculated from 16 thousand to 32 million. Our benchmark is set to 1 Million digits and 19 iterations.
