The Acer Ferrari 4005 WLMi showed unremarkable but acceptable battery life. The laptop managed just over two hours of DVD playback with the screen at full brightness, and a decent 2 hours and 48 minutes of wireless usage with the screen at default brightness for battery power.

The 2GHz AMD Turion64 ML-37 processor and 1GB of DDR-333 memory prove to be advantages for the Acer Ferrari 4005 WLMi here, it pushes past the Intel Centrino-based laptop by a fair margin.

The Acer Ferrari 4005 WLMi obviously benefits from its faster 5400 RPM hard drive. Surprisingly, the Centrino-based Gigabyte n512 notebook managed to best the faster Ferrari on one of the 2D benchmarks here.
